开卷有益，“卷”即书籍和报刊，就是读书看报必获益处的意思。对此，我深有体会。记得去年暑假，在黄冈师院主办的补习班上，老师教我们讨论关于美伊战争问题。如果你读了有关美伊战争的书，你就会轻而易举、信手拈来地应用书上获取的知识和见解，发表自己的看法。如果你没有阅读这方面的书刊或新闻报道，你就会像个傻子一样，什么也不懂。在那次讨论会上，由于比较关注美伊战争的我看了不少有关书刊，因而言之成理，论之有据，得到了老师的夸奖。

再有一次，我无意中发现了一本关于数学知识的书，遂颇感兴趣地认真阅读一遍。过了几天，适逢考试，在试卷上恰好有一道我曾在书上读过的题，于是我就轻轻松松地做完了它。结果，全班只有三个人做对了这道题，我就是其中一个。这又算是尝到了“开卷”之“益”吧？还有一回，上课时，老师突然问我们：“湖北的省会在哪座城市？”嘿，有的人说是黄冈，有的人则说是宜昌，乱七八糟的，就是没有一个人“猜”对。我举起手，回答说是武汉。老师肯定了我的答案后，接着又问湖北的简称是什么？有的说是“鲁”，有的说是“湖”，牛头不对马嘴的乱说一气。胸有成竹的我，回答说是“鄂”。哈，又对了！这些都是我从《社会》书上“得”来的。我再一次尝到了读书之妙，开卷之益。

此外，我印象较深的是，一次语文考试时，试卷上作文要求我们写一篇幻想作文。巧的是我头天晚上正好在本校自编的《作文集》上读了一篇幻想作文。于是，我借鉴《作文集》上的那篇作文的写作手法和套路，写了一篇题为《世界杯的战场上》的作文。结果，老师给了我一个高分。

书是知识的载体，书是精神的食粮。开卷有益，只要不是对自己有害的坏书，而是对自己有益的好书，我们就应利用空余时间多读多看，广泛涉猎，从中体验书籍带给我们的莫大乐趣和无穷收益。
